What's The Better Buy?
Well, both excell in certain characteristics, the five P's if you will. Price, Platform, Performance, Popularity and Perks.
Price
So the cheapest console out of the three is the Wii U at $349.99, second is the PS4 at about $400 and the most expensive console is the XBOX ONE at $499.99
Platform
Platform as in the console exclusive games for the console. XBOX has Halo, a first person shooter that also allows you to go behind the wheel. This may not have came out for the new console yet but it is anticipated to be coming. PS4 has many, but one in particular is the new Infamous, a great sand box world game that allows you to be your own Super Hero/Villain. Wii U has the Mario franchise which should be a HIT among the younger crowd. They brought the meaning to the word 'Platformer'.
I personally have a soft spot for games like Infamous, so PS4 is a winner for me.
Performance
Now Playstation tackled a controller redesign and decided to add a touch pad to it. The Wii U ditched the controller and replaced it with a tablet thing. XBOX decided to update it's user interface to add gestures and voice commands. Out of the three only XBOX stayed away from changing there controller too much and focused on updating the console itself with new features. XBOX had the guts to take the extra step.
Popularity
A lot of Playstation fans would say that the Playstation has always been more popular, but recently XBOX has the crown. Do you think XBOX will hold it's title?
Perks
Well XBOX has great perks for its PAYING members and Wii U has a great Nintendo club offering for great Nintendo merchandise. But, PS4 is going to offer new games for FREE as console esclusives. If you buy the PS4 you will have a bunch of games to play too!
So, for me I'm going with the PS4. But, if you want a console for the kids Wii U is the winner. Or if you want a great console for the whole family, XBOX ONE might be your man. I'm eager to see who will come out on top!

Video Games Sales Plummet
The amount of new games launched is on the decline, the amount of purchased games is on the decline (down 25% since May), creativity in the new consoles is on the decline, and I am concerned with how much longer the Video Gaming era will last.

THE AGE OF GAMING HAS SPOKEN
With the revealing of the Xbox one and PS4, and WiiU a pattern of lack of revolutionary advancements has led many to question the ability of our nation to continue to lead the world in the realm of gaming. Many aspects of the consoles are getting highly repetitive. Disappointment is not only found in the video gaming world. I'd like to coin the term the "Apple Effect" where a the bar of progression is raised to a level that only results in disappointment over the course of the next decade. The Apple Effect is now being experience in video games such as Madden, other sports games, COD, shooting games, and other video game chains. One video game that stands out as something new is Minecraft. Comment and let us know if you can think of any others. Nintendo is making large leaps with their portable gaming systems, however portable gaming consoles is becoming a thing of the past with tablets and phones providing apps for portable gaming.
Xbox One: A LIMITING PRODUCT
Is this going to be a problem for microsoft? I know where I am from the internet is slow and difficult to obtain. Are they limiting their audience? The PS4 is looking better and better at this point.
